A Chapter Exhibit Contest first started in 1932-1933 as an FFA Scrapbook event, and the following year as a Chapter Records Contest providing an opportunity for chapters to exhibit their minutes, treasurers' accounts, annual program plans, clippings, and other material. Starting in 1947-1948 this contest was known as the Chapter Activity Contest which provided an opportunity for chapters to display information on one chapter project or activity in their annual program of activities. Beginning in 1995-1996 this activity became known as the Chapter Activity Exhibit Career Development Event.
