Chapter FFA Degree Recipients
The Chapter FFA Degree is the highest rank that can be conferred upon active members by the local FFA Chapter. Those to receive the degree in accordance with the Iowa FFA State Association and the local chapter Constitution and Bylaws/ Awards will be presented with an initiation ceremony to the successful candidates at the annual Chapter Banquet.
Candidates may be nominated by submitting service and achievement records on official application forms. Applications are to be prepared by the candidate and verified by the chapter advisor and officer team.

To earn your Chapter FFA Degree in Iowa, you must be an active FFA member, complete 180 hours of agricultural education, maintain an active Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), and have earned the Greenhand FFA Degree.
The official state requirements include:
Degree & Membership: Have already received the Greenhand FFA Degree and have a satisfactory scholastic record.
Instruction: Complete at least 180 hours (or the equivalent) of systematic school instruction in agricultural education above the 9th-grade level.
SAE: Have an approved SAE in operation and maintain corresponding records.
Invested or Worked: Either earn and productively invest at least $150, OR work at least 45 hours in excess of scheduled class time.
FFA Activities: Participate in at least 3 official FFA activities outside of scheduled class time.
Leadership & Service:
Lead a class discussion for 15 minutes.
Demonstrate 5 parliamentary law procedures.
Have a satisfactory scholastic record.
Submit a written program of Supervised Agricultural Experiences.
