Considerations

This course is the introductory course for all the agriculture course offerings. Freshman and students enrolling in an agriculture course for the first time are encouraged to start with this course.

Description

An introduction to the agriculture industry through classroom instruction, FFA, and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). Students will be introduced to and made aware of the livestock industry, the crop industry, FFA, leadership, agricultural business, soft skill building, careers in agriculture, and how agriculture applies to their life among other topics. Students will participate in potential field trips, FFA contests, hands-on labs, and other activities.
